Star Alan Ritchson returns alongside an impressive cast, as the upcoming season adapts Lee Child's "Persuader." Expect more action and intrigue, with Season 3 set to debut in 2025. An early Season 4 renewal is certainly a vote of confidence from Prime Video, which is to be expected considering that the series has become a hit. The second season was Amazon's most-viewed 2023 release. Season 2 debuted on December 15 and, within three days, those episodes surpassed the entire Season 1 audience by 50%.
"Reacher has become a phenomenon that continues to resonate with our global customers beyond our wildest expectations and we are thrilled to bring the series back for an additional season," said Vernon Sanders, head of television, Amazon MGM Studios. "We are looking forward to more action and adventure from the immensely talented team behind the series including Nick Santora, Alan Ritchson, Lee Child, Skydance, and CBS Studios."
Season 3, based on the seventh book in Lee Child's series, Persuader, won't debut until 2025. No word yet on an exact premiere date.
In the upcoming season, Reacher must go undercover to rescue an informant held by a haunting foe from his past.
Star Alan Ritchson is returning alongside Maria Sten Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Daniel David Stewart, and Olivier Richters.
Child is also an executive producer on the series from Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios. Reacher is written for television by Nick Santora (FUBAR, Prison Break), who also executive produces and serves as showrunner.
In addition to Santora and Child, Ritchson will serve as an executive producer, along with Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, and David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance. Carolyn Harris and Kenny Madrid are the executives-in-charge of the series for Skydance Television.
