Prison Break stars Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller are now set to reunite for a new series from the writer of The Shield. Titled Snatchback and coming courtesy of Universal Television, the series will follow the pair as a team who are tasked with recovering hostages from terrible situations all over the globe. No doubt the idea of seeing Purcell and Miller together again on screen will be hugely exciting for fans of the pair, who have also worked together in the DC series Legends of Tomorrow, in which Miller played Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold alongside Purcell as Mick Rory aka Heat Wave.
You can check out the official synopsis for Snatchback below via Variety.
"Inspired by the life of a real covert intelligence officer who is still active in the field today, the series follows a highly skilled privately contracted team of operatives as they recover hostages across the globe from some of the most exotic, and equally dangerous locations on the planet."

Why Wentworth Miller Says He's Done Playing Straight Roles
Actor, writer, and producer Wentworth Miller says the straight man's story has been told (and told).
Snatchback will see Scott Rosenbaum, who is best known for his work on the likes of The Shield, Chuck, and Queen of the South, serving as writer and executive producer, with Purcell executive producing alongside Tish Cyrus-Purcell and Dannah Axelrod Summers of HopeTown Entertainment.
"We are absolutely thrilled to be a part of this team with such talented individuals," said Tish Cyrus-Purcell of the series. "Rosenbaum has crafted an emotionally charged and high stakes world where Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller reunite, bringing to the screen the extraordinary heroes of a real-life private hostage recovery team."

Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller are, of course, best known for uniting in the hit series Prison Break as brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield. Created by Paul Scheuring for Fox, Prison Break begins when Burrows is sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit, leaving his genius sibling Scofield to devise an elaborate plan to help his brother escape prison and clear his name. The show originally ran for four seasons, ending in 2008, before being revived for a final miniseries in 2017.

Why Prison Break Season 6 Is Never Going to Happen
Once a show that felt like it would go on to build a dynasty, Prison Break has never managed to get a franchise off the ground despite its popularity.
Prison Break is a television favorite for many, with fans excited that a sixth season could happen. While Purcell was on board with the idea (as reported back in 2020), Miller had no interest, with the idea of a further outing for the duo sadly being scrapped.
While we are unlikely to ever see Purcell and Miller in a Prison Break revival, it was reported last year that a spin-off project is now in development for Hulu. Set to be written and executive produced by Mayans M.C. co-creator, executive producer and showrunner Elgin James, the series has been described as "as a new chapter" and is likely to find a whole new batch of characters attempting to escape from prison.
