Celebrate James Bond Day this October 5th with a martini (shaken, not stirred, of course) and all the 007 missions, as all 25 official James Bond films are now available to stream worldwide on Prime Video. The official James Bond X/Twitter account shared the news that every Bond outing, from Connery to Craig, are now on the streaming platform, meaning audiences can immerse themselves in the action-packed world of Britain's greatest spy.
You may not have ever heard of James Bond Day, but the celebration takes place later this week on October 5, which marks the date that the first official James Bond movie, Dr. No, premiered way, way back in 1962. Starring Sean Connery, who is still considered by many to be the best iteration of the character, and directed by Terence Young, Dr. No started it all, and finds Bond in Jamaica where is investigating the disappearance of a fellow British agent.
Connery's other outings include From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, and You Only Live Twice. The role was next taken over by Australian actor George Lazenby, who only played 007 once in On Her Majesty's Secret Service before Connery returned for one last go in Diamonds Are Forever. The era of a more...silly Bond then began with Roger Moore, who starred in Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, and A View to a Kill, before making way for Timothy Dalton's darker Bond in The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill.

Tines have changed, and some scenes that appeared in older James Bond would be deemed unacceptable today.
The Bond that many of a certain generation will be most charmed by is Pierce Brosnan, who led the likes of GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day, before the franchise was rebooted with Daniel Craig's grittier Bond in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time to Die, which brought this era of the franchise to a surprisingly definitive end.
Amazon is now able to host all the 007 movies thanks to its acquisition of MGM back in 2022. While Amazon now owns the distributor, creative control of the iconic secret agent remains in the hands of Eon Productions, who are currently planning out what to do next with the beloved franchise.
What's Next for James Bond? Close
It is currently unknown exactly what the studio plans to do with James Bond following Daniel Craig's swansong in 2021's No Time to Die. The Craig-led Bond movies took the series in a new direction, beginning with the character acquiring his licence to kill and tracking his journey through sequels that were far grittier and more grounded than before. Not only that, the sequels were much less standalone than Bond movies usually are, creating a more connected five-movie saga.
Now that Craig's tenure has ended, fans have been left to wonder what's next for 007. Will the studio go with a much younger Bond this time around and explore his origins? Could we see the franchise taken back in time to when the novels of Ian Fleming are set? Or perhaps the franchise will instead return to the less-grounded world of gadgets and more fantastical missions?

Ben Whishaw, who played Q alongside Daniel Craig, agrees that Bond 26 will need some changes.
And who will be chosen to lead this new iteration of James Bond? The current favorites include Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Henry Cavill, Damson Idris, James Norton, and Regé-Jean Page. However, names such as Rebel Ridge star Aaron Pierre have recently entered the mix, with some Bond fans wanting a former star, Pierce Brosnan, brought back for one final mission.
Eon is also now reportedly meeting with potential directors. Names at the top of that particular list include the Academy Award-winning Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front), Kelly Marcel (Venom: The Last Dance), Australian filmmaker David Michôd (Animal Kingdom, The Rover), Bart Layton (The Imposter, American Animals), and Yann Demange ('71, Top Boy).
