Calling all true crime fans, Only Murders in the Building season three is officially over and we're already after some more murder mystery. So, will there be a fourth season? The Disney+ series stars Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short as Mabel, Charles and Oliver, neighbours and true crime fans who team up to solve murders.
In season three, they've cracked who killed Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd), but will our favourite wannabe detectives be returning to catch more killers? Here's everything you need to know about season four of Only Murders in the Building.
Are you ready for season four? Because you don't have long to wait as the new season is officially set to return to our screens on 27th August 2024.
On 14th May, Hulu revealed the release date for the new series and also gave us a trailer, which you can watch below.
As well as confirming the release date for season four, Hulu also shared a taste of what we can expect in the new series with a trailer released on 14th May.
In the trailer, we see Mabel, Oliver and Charles start to question who was responsible for Sazz's death, before they get whisked off to Hollywood as a studio wants to create a movie about their podcast. Oliver and Charles in LA with agents and managers? We can't wait to see the chaos this involves.

Good news folks! Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez are all set to reprise their roles in season four. Well it wouldn't really be the show without them would it?
And the great news doesn't stop there, as Meryl Streep is also set to reprise her role as Loretta in season four. Last we heard Loretta was set to head to Los Angeles to progress her career, and there were questions over whether her relationship with Oliver (Martin Short) would continue. But it seems like we can be optimistic about the future of our new favourite on screen couple.
As of 23rd February 2024, we've also got some huge news: Eva Longoria will be joining the cast for season four. While Deadline shared the news, it's not yet known who her character will be.
And! On 28th February 2024, Eugene Levy from Schitt's Creek will also be taking on a recurring role, Variety report, though details are scarce.
Expanding the truly excellent cast, Kumail Nanjiani was announced to be joining Only Murders in the Building season 4 on the 5th March 2024. Variety shared the actor "will appear in a recurring role that is mostly being kept under wraps, though an individual with knowledge of the situation says his character will be integral to this season's investigation." Amazing!
Another person joining the cast is Zach Galifianakis, as per Variety, in a character who will be "integral to the twist and turns of this season's investigation."
Given season four is revolving around solving the murder of Sazz, it's now been confirmed we will be seeing Jane Lynch back on our screens as Charles' stunt double. And the good news doesn't stop there, as Melissa McCarthy and Molly Shannon are now also set to star in the new series. Is this the most A-List cast ever?
Unfortunately there's no word yet on whether Mabel's love interest Tobert (Jesse Williams) will be returning, however series showrunner John Hoffman has said he would love to have Jesse Williams back.
We don't have a lot info about the plot just yet, but we do know that the series will be leaving the the Arconia building and New York City for the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles, as a Hollywood studio wants to make a movie about the podcast.
In an interview with Deadline, Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich said, "I'm very excited to see Steve, Martin and Selena take a little break from the apartment building and come to Los Angeles.
"So in the same way that John Hoffman used the canvas of Broadway to tell what I think was one of the most unique seasons you've ever seen, the same unique Only Murders take will be applied to Los Angeles, which I'm really excited about." Can't wait!
Plus, in the season three finale of Only Murders in the Building, Mabel, Charles and Oliver unveil Donna and Cliff as Ben Glenroy's killers. Then, right when we think everything is OK, Charles' long-time friend and stunt double, Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch) is shot dead.
So, who shot Sazz? Plus, as we can safely assume the bullet was meant for Charles, who wants him dead? We need to know!
The mystery is over, as season four of Only Murders in the Building has been confirmed! The news dropped on 3 October, the day of the season three finale, with Hulu writing on X (formerly known as Twitter): "Only Murders in the Building is coming back for season 4! Let the investigating begin."
