The 11-year-old's cover interview with Interview Magazine -- published on Thursday, October 11 -- was no different. During the mother-daughter Q&A, Kardashian, 43, couldn't help but to ask her daughter one "serious question," inquiring, "How is my cooking?"
As she is wont to do, North -- who Kardashian shares with ex-husband Kanye West -- responded by quickly serving up a zinger for her mother. "You haven't cooked for us in a long time. Last time you cooked was two Halloweens ago," North quipped.
Kardashian, who is likely used to her daughter's sharp tongue, quickly moved past the jab, asking North what she made. The SKIMS founder ended up calling herself a "one-trick pony," noting that two years prior she had made mac and cheese, fried chicken, and cornbread.
When she once again asked her daughter if that meal was "good," North answered, before quickly changing the topic to her favorite food item, which is quite a simple dish. "It's good. It's just that you're really good at making me cucumbers and salt," North answered.
North's choice of dish was particularly interesting, seeing as her Aunt Kendall Jenner famously went viral after struggling to cut a cucumber in a 2022 episode of The Kardashians. "Will never be able to unsee Kendall Jenner's insane attempt to cut a cucumber," podcaster Priyanka Aribind posted on X (formerly Twitter) at the time.
Earlier in the interview, Kardashian's eldest child had named cucumbers and salt as the food she'd be happy eating for the rest of her life -- along with grilled onions. Kardashian also shares Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5, with ex Ye, to whom she was married from 2014 until 2022.
North speaks a bit in the interview about her dad, at one point listing him as one of her style inspirations, along with '90s streetwear and Tyler the Creator. She also described the "best day of her life" as time she spent in Italy with her father and siblings.
"It was just us and my siblings, and that's when I really brought them close to God," North said. "Because we had this house and there was these devil statues, and I was like, 'Mm-mm, mm-mm, no, girl,'" she explained, adding, "I was like, 'We got to pray.' So then I taught Chi and Psalm and Saint how to pray. God really did his thing after."
