The actor's new book, 'In Gad We Trust,' will hit shelves early next year
Josh Gad will soon share his story in a new book.
The Frozen star, 43, has shared exclusively with PEOPLE that he will release a memoir next year. In Gad We Trust: A Tell Some will be published by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon and Schuster, in January 2025.
Gad, whose credits include voicing the snowman Olaf in Pixar's Frozen franchise, as well as starring in Broadway shows like The Book of Mormon and Gutenberg! The Musical, plans to pull back the curtain on his own life. Through his new essay collection, the Tony Award nominee will write about topics like his big break into the entertainment industry, mentorship from Robin Williams and how others once doubted his success.
Gad will also touch upon personal stories, such as how he struggled with his self-image and weight, as well as how his parents' divorce left a "lasting impact" on him.
"After decades of reading other people's words, I've decided to write some of my own and it's turned into my book In Gad We Trust: A Tell Some," Gad says, in a statement shared with PEOPLE. "I can't wait to take readers on a journey tackling everything from a Snowman to a Mormon to a grown man."

Gad is also the author of the children's book PictureFace Lizzy, which will be published this fall. The book was inspired by Gad's daughters, Ava and Isabella, who he shares with wife Ida Darvish, and their "obsession with not the things that they had, but the things that they didn't have," the actor told PEOPLE. Gad also announced this year that he will co-write a comic book miniseries entitled The Writer, inspired by Jewish folklore.
