Harlan Coben's Missing You has finally been given an official release date on Netflix, and it's arriving much sooner than fans may have originally thought.
The crime author's bestselling novels have already formed the basis of several hit series for the streamer, from the first miniseries Safe back in 2018 to this year's gripping Fool Me Once.
Netflix confirmed a series based on Coben's 2014 hit would be adapted to screens back in January 2024 and wasted no time getting started on production.
After initially announcing a 2025 release date, the streamer has now revealed Missing You will drop right at the beginning of the year, on Wednesday, January 1.
Slow Horses star Rosalind Eleazar takes on the lead role and delves into a shocking Missing Persons case as detective Kat Donovan.
An official synopsis reads: "Eleven years ago, her fiance Josh, the love of her life, vanished without a trace, and she hasn't heard from him since.
"Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again.
"Josh's unexpected reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father's murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past."
The New Year's Day release follows in the footsteps of this year's Coben crime caper, Fool Me Once, which also premiered on January 1.
Missing You's all-star cast also includes Ashley Walters, Richard Armitage, Sir Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton, Jessica Plummer, Mary Malone, Lisa Faulkner and James Nesbitt.
Quay Street Productions (part of ITV Studios) produced the series with Coben on board as executive producer.

Fool Me Once director Nimer Rashed is returning to helm episodes along with Isher Sahota, known for Ridley and Grace.
Screenwriting duties were undertaken by Victoria Asare-Archer, who helped pen the 2021 Coben thriller Stay Close.
The miniseries will consist of five hour-long episodes and is expected to be a massive hit for Netflix following their previous success with their thriller adaptations.
Missing You arriving a year to the day after Fool Me Once is hoped to attract a similarly massive crowd following the 2024 series becoming the most-watched series for the first half of the year with an incredible 108 million views.
Missing You will be released Wednesday, January 1 on Netflix.
