Although few specific plot details have been disclosed about the upcoming installment, it is mentioned that the fallout from the From season 2 finale will evolve as the chance to escape becomes "a tantalizing and very real possibility", according to the official synopsis. It's also teased that the true nature of the town, which has been a driving focus behind the series, will come into focus. But that doesn't mean it's smooth sailing, as the townspeople still face the myriad of horrors that surround them.
The cast of From, which also includes Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey, David Alpay, and Elizabeth Saunders, will welcome two new additions. CSI: New York actor Robert Joy will play Henry, described as a curmudgeon, and the years have not been kind to him. Y: The Last Man's Samantha Brown, meanwhile, portrays Acosta. New to the police force, Acosta is in over her head.

As it grows more in popularity, with glowing recommendations from King, it has to find the balance between advancing the narrative and keeping enough hidden that there are still intriguing places for the characters to go. From season 3, now confirmed to be a few months away, will be a crucial test of how that balance is maintained.
